PERFORMANCE COACHING WORKSHOP TO BE HELD IN SEPTEMBER

Basketball Australia is set to conduct a series of high performance coach development clinics and activities as part of the “Performance Coaching Workshops” initiative.

The new coach development program will provide high performance coaches from throughout Australia with access to clinics, workshops and presentations from leading coaches and experts on a wide variety of topics, from scouting, game planning, advanced strategy and leadership.

The workshops are suitable for coaches at both the senior professional and semi-professional level, as well as the those working in the Basketball Australia National Performance Program and various state performance programs throughout the country,

Clinics and workshops will be conducted nationally over the next 12 months and will provide coaches with the opportunity to learn from some of the best basketball minds in Australia.

The first of the workshops will be held at Sydney’s Knox Grammar and will focus on “Using Technology in Scouting and Development”.

Presenters will include former Sydney Kings and Shanghai Sharks (CBA) assistant coach Jacob Jackomas and Michael Conlan, respected analyst and manager Hudl Australia.
