Olympic Coaches Headline WABC Clinic on Gold Coast

Australian Olympic team coaches Sandy Brondello and Jan Stirling headline the FIBA World Association of Basketball Coaches Women in Coaching Feature Clinic to be held on the Gold Coast in January.

The two Opals mentors will join respected Queensland coach Jackie Brown in presenting at the Gold Coast Clinic, which will be held at the Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium Friday, January 8 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Brondello is a four-time Olympian as a player and will lead the Opals to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, while Stirling coached the team to silver medals at both the Athens and Beijing games, as well as the FIBA World Championships gold in 2006.

This coach development clinic is open to any female coach and will cover a wide range of individual development concepts. Brondello will present on “Developing Perimeter Players”, Stirling will talk about “Teaching Post Play” and Brown will cover “Drills for the Running Game.”

The clinic is presented by the FIBA World Association of Basketball Coaches and will be recorded for reproduction on the WABC YouTube channel in coming months.
