Respected international coach and coach developer Mike Dunlap will visit Australia in March to conduct a series of clinics and workshops in NSW, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.
Coach Dunlap is well known to Australia, having coached the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL and having recruited and coached many of our leading players across a storied college career. He has also coached in the NBA, having been head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats and an assistant coach on the NBA championship Milwaukee Bucks.
Considered one of the great minds in world basketball, Coach Dunlap has presented clinics and keynotes across the world and will present a series of workshops and clinics in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra across March.
The respected floor general will start his visit in Sydney, where coaches will have the opportunity to watch him work with athletes from the Basketball NSW State Performance Program. Coaches are welcome to register to attend the free session at Pymble Ladies College, Centenary Sports Precinct, Avon Road, Pymble on Wednesday, March 13, 6pm – 7.30pm.
The Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence in Canberra will host the next open coach development activity, with Coach presenting a clinic on “Teaching Skill and Concept” 10am – 11.30am on Saturday, March 16. This clinic will include athletes from the COE men’s program as demonstrators and coaches can learn the latest techniques in on-court teaching, coaching interventions and developing concepts.
To attend the clinic in Canberra, coaches can register for $25, which includes detailed clinics notes and a special Basketball Australia coaching notebook.

Basketball Victoria will also host a clinic with Coach Dunlap on Monday March 18 at Mullum Mullum Stadium. The BV clinics in Melbourne are always well attended by coaches of all levels and no doubt this will be the same for this valuable coach development event. To register, click here
