The Basketball Northern Territory High Performance Program recently hosted NBA Global Academy development coach Nico Loureiro as part of their camp in Darwin. Coach Loureiro took the players through a series of drills aimed at improving skill and decision making.
One of the most creative and innovative player development coaches in the country, Loureiro incorporates a strong game sense approach to developing skill and he shared some of his drills, key teaching points and progressions with the athletes and coaches.
Thanks to Coach Loureiro for his work at the camp and a huge thanks to Coach Rod Tremlett from Basketball Northern Territory for preparing and sharing the video summary of the drills. Basketball Australia would also like to thank and acknowledge NBA Global Academy Technical Director Marty Clarke for supporting Nico attending the camp.
